A publicly traded Medical Device company near Framingham is actively hiring for an SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager. This person will report to the Corporate Controller and will be responsible for the oversight and operations of all SEC reporting and technical accounting for the company.

Salary for this role ranges from $120-145k plus bonus.

This role reports onsite 3x per week with M/F work from home.

Responsibilities

• Financial & SEC Reporting: Lead preparation of 10-Ks, 10-Qs, MD&A, and investor disclosures; serve as primary finance contact for legal, HR, and IR teams.
• Process Improvement: Drive initiatives to streamline reporting processes and enhance quality and efficiency.
• Audit Coordination: Manage supporting documentation and work with external auditors to ensure timely audit completion.
• Technical Accounting: Develop accounting memos, implement new standards (e.g., ASC 606), and maintain policies in line with evolving guidance.
• Internal Controls & SOX Compliance: Maintain strong internal controls, support SOX compliance, and coordinate with consultants on risk assessments.
• Cross-Functional Support: Provide technical accounting expertise on complex issues such as revenue, leases, and equity compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting; CPA Preferred – Formal education in accounting with CPA certification highly desirable.
• Deep Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC Reporting – Extensive experience with technical accounting standards and financial disclosures.
• 6+ Years of Relevant Experience – Background in SEC reporting, technical accounting, and roles such as reporting manager or public accountant.
• Strong Analytical and Communication Skills – Proven ability to research, analyze, and clearly communicate complex accounting issues.
• Excellent Project Management and Organizational Skills – Ability to prioritize tasks and manage reporting workflows effectively.
