Job Title: SDTRC Administrative Assistant (Client Services Monitor) Employment Type: Full-time, Non-exempt. Compensation: $28.00 per hour. We have a wide array of programs and services that present a unique opportunity for SDTRC Administrative Assistant (Client Services Monitor) to gain valuable experience including adolescent services, perinatal services, individual and intensive outpatient services, as well as a methadone clinic. JOB SUMMARY: The SDTRC Administrative Assistant (Client Services Monitor) will be responsible for providing oversight and support to chemically dependent individuals as part of a team of treatment providers in a residential setting. The Client Services Monitor works directly with participants to meet their daily needs in a safe and secure environment. Site Monitors provide immediate support to participants, along with crisis intervention, conflict resolution and other duties as needed or assigned by program staff. In addition, this position also ensures the safety and security of clients during morning, evening and weekend hours. DUTIES: Direct Services: Maintain a calm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, promoting a clean, orderly and healthy environment at all times. Serves as monitor for clients in a residential setting ensuring they are safe and following the structure of the program. Coordinates and monitors the client’s activities within the residential program. Files documents in client files, break down discharged client files, Medication monitoring, documentation and observation. Monitors facility and clients to ensure safety and security. Performs facility and room inspections providing feedback to the clients and staff. Ensures Discharge documentation is completed by primary counselor and filed in client file, notifying internal and external parties as necessary. Attends and support counseling staff during interactions with residential population. Collects urinalysis samples from clients of their own gender. Maintains and enforces program policies. Supervises client outings as needed. Make referrals to mental health and substance use treatment services as applicable. Treats clients and prospective clients with professionalism and courtesy always. Communications/Teamwork/Training & Support (35%). Promptly and accurately reports any issues and concerns regarding participants to Directors. Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings. Provides input in weekly staff meetings as required and/or needed. Participates in case consultation with other counselors, treatment providers and referring parties. Provides updates of client progress to treatment team as needed. Performs additional direct services as assigned by the Residential Program Director. Problem Solving: Oversees conflict resolution with clients. Time & Accountability: Maintains good attendance and punctuality. Manages time effectively. Assure us that any necessary license/certification requirements are always current. Follows through with assignments and completes documentation within time requirements. Responds promptly and courteously to phone calls and email requests for information. Other Duties as assigned by agency leadership. SKILLS & POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Able to Read, Write, and Speak English fluently (Spanish is a plus). Valid licensure or certification as AOD Counselor. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients and staff. AA Degree or two years of experience in social services preferred that including experience dealing with substance use in clients and crisis intervention. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Web-based programs, HMIS and any other database software(s) used to track work outputs. Valid CA Driver’s License, auto insurance and reliable transportation. Type at a speed of at least 45 words per minute. Minimum two years of non-profit experience with the similar population and/or case management preferred. CPR/First Aid Training Certification and HMIS Training Certification. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Strong organizational and planning skills to complete tasks in a high quality, accurate and timely manner. Strong knowledge and protocol of HIPPA and client privacy.
