Overview
As an Agile Scrum Master, you will be responsible for leading and managing agile software development projects from initiation to completion and anchor the scrum ceremonies across projects in the areas of web application and mobile application development. You will work closely at global level with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and quality assurance professionals, to ensure the successful delivery of software products that meet or exceed client expectations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build and anchor the Scrum Teams across various projects and ensure that the sprint ceremonies are conducted by following the defined Agile methodologies
- Project Planning and Execution: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets. Execute projects according to agile methodologies, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate agile development teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to maximize their productivity and efficiency.
- Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or quality. Ensure projects are delivered with minimal disruptions.
- Communication: Facilitate communication within the team and with stakeholders. Provide regular status updates, reports, and presentations. Ensure transparency and alignment among team members and stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to define and implement quality standards and processes. Ensure that software products meet or exceed quality expectations.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the development teams. Implement agile best practices and lessons learned from previous projects to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring that projects are delivered within the allocated budget. Identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Understand their needs and expectations, and ensure that project outcomes align with their goals.
- Additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience) with minimum 10 years of overall experience
- Proven experience as an Agile Scrum Master in the IT industry with atleast 5 years of experience in this role
- Strong knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Mandatory Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince) is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Experience in working as a Agile Project Manager will be an added advantage
- Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Jira, Click Up or Trello
- SAFe certification and Kanban certification are a plus
- Track KPIs and help teams deliver high-quality products/solutions on time
- Identify scrum related metrics and publish them for each sprint
Must have technical background in the areas of software development and testing so that they can co-relate with the team’s project tasks
