Description As an R&D Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in our team by developing experimental hypotheses, designing and performing experiments, analyzing data sets, and writing protocols and reports. You will be instrumental in characterizing new strains, developing new products, and presenting the technical aspects of your projects. Responsibilities: Independently and collaboratively design, execute, and analyze simple to moderately sophisticated experimental work Presenting findings to internal and external customers Characterize bacterial strains and discover unique properties for health benefits Discover and isolate unique strains and compounds to improve health Develop new probiotic products Contribute to peer-reviewed manuscripts and patent applications. Provide technical leadership Skills quality control, biology, microbiology, biochemistry, bacterial fermentation, strain indentification, Strain isolation, Strain Characterization, research & development, biology, microbiology, biochemistry, experimental design, fermentation, bioreactors, probiotics, Microorganisms, food safety regulations, microbial techniques Additional Skills & Qualifications Must have: Minimum of a Bachelors degree within the sciences (biology, microbiology, biochemistry) with 3-5 years of research experience or Masters degree with 1-2 years of research experience 2+ years of research experience including designing, implementing and analyzing results (could be from academics) 2+ years of experience with drafting experiments, peer-reviewed manuscripts, or patents Must be able to work independently 1+ years of experience following GLPs and working within FDA or like regulatory bodies Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
