Job Description The Principal Scientist is a member of the business unit's leadership team and is the internal subject matter expert focused on Science and Innovation charged with: * Managing scientific research and investigations in relation to clinical research for cosmetic and personal care products * Supporting the Principal Investigators on study design or human panelists recruiting criteria * Aiding the sales team to refine the scope and methodology of requested studies while helping to promote new methods and technologies •Innovating new study designs •Exploring new instruments and methods of testing and analysis * Identifying and evaluating 3rd party contract service providers to support business need and liaise with these external service providers to support the needs of clinical studies * Supporting business development opportunities Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Must possess a PhD, M.D., D.O., or similar post-graduate degree in Science in the field of biology, chemistry, or cosmetic science, Medicine in the field of dermatology or related, or Bio- or biomedical- Engineering Required * 7+ years of experience in a related field Required * 5+ years of Principal Scientist or equivalent experience Required * Dermatology background, sunscreen and cosmetic testing experience a plus Required Additional Information SGS is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and as such we recruit, hire, train, and promote persons in all job classifications without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetics, status as a protected veteran, or any other characteristics protected by law.
