ROLE OVERVIEW


Reporting directly to the Operations Manager of Scheduling and Planning, the Scheduling & Planning Coordinator is primarily accountable for overseeing the production of projects from start to finish. This includes ensuring quality assurance during onboarding of jobs, adhering to lead times, and monitoring daily production output from the work centers and assembly lines and holding teams accountable for deliverables. In collaboration with the Operations Manager, this role ensures efficient operations, staffing, and continuity when required.


This is an 16-month contract position.


HIGHLIGHTS OF WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Demonstrates behaviors aligned with the organization’s values and growth plans.
  • Responsible for the onboarding of new projects
  • Ensure lead times are correct based on standard lead times agreement
  • Ensure scheduling hours submissions are vetted and correct
  • Review finished good ship schedule due dates with Monday project boards due dates.
  • Review purchase to job printed/kitting items with ship schedule due dates.
  • Ensure work orders (WO’s) are created and supply/demand in ERP is correct based on Ship Schedule details.
  • Review ‘ship to’ locations on ship schedule.
  • Ensure and set up project tracking boards and production files and list all pertinent information for quality assurance (QA).
  • Project Setup using our project tracking boards such as Monday.com, Hub planner & Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS)
  • Review APS and ensure all dates are aligned with ship dates.
  • Responsible for the utilization of our ERP system to align with APS in real time.
  • Responsible for managing and booking all incoming receiving requests from assigned suppliers.
  • Prepare for, review, and align lot/bin codes for all incoming materials.
  • Hold and lead update meeting with corrugate suppliers, twice per week.
  • Responsible for overseeing press row, print room, and assembly (ASMB) operations to ensure projects are properly setup, scheduled and progressing as planned.
  • Ensure teams are adhering to Harding Display standard operating procedures and health and safety standards.
  • Other duties as required.



WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL


  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in plant/manufacturing/operations environment
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience with complex planning/scheduling (i.e., 10-15 work centers and 50-100 employees) preferred
  • 5 years’ experience in assembly related environment.
  • Highly organized and strong coordination skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), able to interact and connect with employees at all levels in both the plant and office teams
  • Superior problem-solving skills and ability to work within deadlines
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and pivot between competing demands
  • Takes initiative, is driven, and goal-oriented
  • Ability to provide real-time feedback with professionalism and tact.
  • Ability to clearly communicate detailed operating instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and train team members effectively
  • Ability to identify quality issues as compared to sample/ specs.
  • Understand and follow standard operating procedures, with a particular focus on line start-up and close-out processes.
