Xpressdocs is looking for a Scheduling Manager with strong analytical and systems administration skills to oversee production scheduling, optimize workflows, and ensure data-driven decision-making. This role requires proficiency in scheduling methodologies, ERP/MRP systems, and performance analysis to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and support operational goals.
In this position, you will:
Production Scheduling & Planning
Develop, manage, and adjust production schedules to align with business demands and capacity constraints.
Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability and workflow efficiency.
Monitor work orders and adjust schedules in response to machine downtime, labor constraints, or urgent job requests.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze scheduling data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements.
Generate reports on production performance, resource utilization, and adherence to schedules.
Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Systems Administration & Process Optimization
Manage and maintain scheduling systems (ERP, MRP, or other planning software).
Troubleshoot system issues and work with IT to implement updates or improvements.
Develop automation tools, dashboards, or scripts to enhance scheduling accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure system data integrity by auditing schedules and correcting inconsistencies.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with operations, customer service, and supply chain teams to align scheduling priorities.
Communicate schedule changes, constraints, and solutions effectively across departments.
Train team members on scheduling tools, best practices, and system enhancements.
Risk Management & Problem Solving
Identify potential scheduling bottlenecks and develop contingency plans.
Address production delays by reallocating resources or adjusting workflows.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling processes.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in scheduling, production planning, or operations management.
Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
Analytical mindset with experience in Excel, SQL, Power BI, or other data analysis tools.
Ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable plans.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or print production scheduling is a plus.
