Summary

Job Summary

LifeLine-EMS is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our dedicated team. The Scheduler will please a critical role in ensuring the efficient scheduling of our highly effective team. This role requires exceptional multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility in managing complex scheduling tasks.

Essential Functions

  • The Scheduler will collaborate with operational teams to ensure effective and efficient scheduling for all operational needs. They will also ensure training schedules for new employees are appropriate.
  • The Scheduler will develop and maintain a comprehensive shift schedule for EMS personnel, ensuring adequate coverage at all times, adhering to labor laws and regulations, and considering employee preferences and availability. They will also ensure compliance with established protocols, procedures, and quality standards in EMS operations, while adapting to any changing situations.
  • The Scheduler will collaborate with other departments to ensure operational needs are met.
  • The Scheduler will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shifts, assignments, and other relevant information in our electronic scheduling systems.
  • The Scheduler will address scheduling conflicts, resource shortages, and unexpected events by making swift and informed decisions to optimize resource allocation and response times. They will also regularly view and analyze scheduling data, response metrics, and incident reports to identify opportunities for process improvements and enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in scheduling, logistics, or a related field, preferably within an EMS or healthcare environment.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in scheduling software tools.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and basic EMS protocols is preferred.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations related to scheduling is preferred.
  • Flexibility in schedule to meet operational needs.

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
    • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work

This is a fully in-office position. The role is open to both Full-Time and Part-Time work schedules.
