OHLA USA , Inc. is seeking a Scheduling Engineer for our Western Region in Irvine, CA. This is a full-time onsite position.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain CPM schedules in latest version of Primavera P6 application.
- Work with preconstruction team and prepare construction bid schedules as needed
- Attend and organize schedule and work planning meetings to help developing schedules
- Experienced in resource and cost loading Primavera schedules
- Provide preliminary support for time extensions and prepare Time Impact Analysis
- Work with Project Managers and Engineers to control each project, identifying adverse turned or schedule slippage and recommending corrective action
- Draft quality schedule narratives, respond to schedule comments and hold schedule presentations as needed
- Research, analyze, and prepare project impact documentation for mitigation
- Work closely with team members to assist in gathering information and answering questions
- Commute from field offices in San Diego to corporate office in Orange County on a frequent basis
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years' experience scheduling with Primavera P6 software on construction projects; experience with design/build projects is preferred.
- Bachelor's or higher degree in construction management, engineering or related industry is required.
- Advanced user of Primavera P6 Version 15 or later.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project is a plus.
- PMI-SP or PMP certification preffered.
- Advanced ability to read, analyze, and interpret Design and Construction Documents, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Proficiency to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Skilled in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Expertise in applying concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to use mathematical skills to review and understand complete construction documents and provide quantities and scopes required for all construction trades.
- Knowledgable in applying principles of logical and/or technical thinking to a wide range of problems.
- Aptness with formulas, equations, and graphs from simple to difficult phases.
- Adaptable in managing a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
- Cal OSHA 30 Hour Safety Certification preferred, but not required.

Compensation: The base hourly rate being offered for this position is USD $120,000.00 per hour to USD $190,000.00 per year. Please note that the salary range listed is specific to the role listed in California. Hourly rates may vary for different individuals in the same role based on various factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, and performance.
