About the Role:
The Senior Manager, Schedule Controls is responsible for overseeing project planning, scheduling, and coordination across the full project lifecycle. This role ensures efficient project execution from feasibility studies to handover, aligning project timelines with strategic objectives. The position involves collaboration with development, finance, business development, and delivery teams to optimize scheduling, mitigate risks, and enhance project controls.
Key Responsibilities
Master Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop master plans and project time schedules in alignment with business plans and feasibility study targets.
- Capture the full project lifecycle, from budgeting and masterplan design to construction, sales preparation, and final handover.
Project Execution & Lifecycle Management:
- Lead and manage projects from initiation through closure, ensuring cost control, quality adherence, and timely execution.
- Optimize scheduling processes and workflows by integrating design, engineering, procurement, and construction timelines.
Stakeholder Coordination & Collaboration:
- Work with internal departments and external stakeholders, including masterplan consultants, cost consultants, supervision teams, and contractors, to achieve project targets.
- Ensure that project scheduling aligns with client expectations and contractual obligations.
Risk Mitigation & Process Optimization:
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and improve scheduling efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvements in project controls, reporting, and resource management.
Business Development Support:
- Assist business development teams by analyzing market trends, identifying new project opportunities, and conducting feasibility studies.
- Support sales teams in integrating scheduling insights into client proposals and contract negotiations.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and mentor planning and scheduling teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and development in the civil or architectural sector.
Key Skills & Attributes
- Expertise in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools.
- Strong knowledge of project lifecycle phases, construction methodologies, and contract management.
- Proven experience in business development and sales within the construction or real estate sector.
- Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
