The Role: Software Engineer – Trading Systems

You’ll be working on the core trading infrastructure, enhancing existing protocols and helping scale the platform for increased demand. You’ll contribute to performance improvements, develop new features, and support production systems in a low-latency, high-throughput environment.

Your first 6 months:

• Expand protocol support to cater to more clients and higher trading volume.
• Optimise performance and improve system scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical projects.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

• 4–8 years’ experience in software engineering.
• Background in trading workflows, electronic trading, or capital markets.
• Skilled in Scala or other JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, Groovy, etc).
• Experience building scalable distributed systems.
• Familiar with TCP/IP and messaging tech like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Aeron.
• Comfortable with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of performance tuning for low-latency systems.
• Solid grasp of SDLC, CI/CD, and agile development practices.
