Velocity Tech has partnered with a tech company in Atlanta looking for a Scala Developer to join them permanently.

This role will require 2 days a week onsite and does not offer sponsorship at this time.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design, build, and ship scalable web applications
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of SaaS products
• Support product releases and ensure high-quality code goes to production
• Work across both SQL and NoSQL databases to build flexible and efficient data layers
• Leverage AWS to help deploy and scale applications in the cloud

What We’re Looking For:

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Scala and its libraries/frameworks
• Background in Computer Science or a related technical field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Prior experience at a startup or software/tech company
• Experience building and maintaining web applications and platforms
• Familiarity with the product release lifecycle
• Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Working knowledge of AWS and cloud-based architecture
