What you will do: As our SCADA Programmer, you will help the Operations Team by developing and maintaining the software that powers SCADA systems. You will develop and implement software applications for our products which help control and monitor one of the world's most valuable and limited resources- Water! This position will work in our Plymouth, MN location. The job: Every day, you will be responsible for developing SCADA software and ensuring that it functions reliably and effectively, which will allow operators to monitor and control industrial processes. You will coordinate with customers on startups and may need to travel to a customer site. You will work independently, but also with a team of programmers to test out programs prior to deployment to the field. You will be expected to work mostly on-site with some hybrid flexibility as you learn the job and our products. The skills you need: To succeed in this role, you must have experience writing SCADA software. You must be proficient using text-based programming languages, specifically Python, with understanding of ladder logic a plus. This position will also involve the design, creation, and management of SQL databases including tables, views and stored procedures to support SCADA system data requirements. You must be detail oriented and be able to read P&ID drawings. A 2-year degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology or equivalent degree and 3-5 years of experience are required. The software packages used may include: Wonderware, VTScada, FactoryTank View, and a heavy emphasis on Ignition.
