Job Description:

Plains All American Pipeline is seeking a skilled and motivated SCADA Programmer to join our team in Midland, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing SCADA systems to ensure efficient and safe pipeline operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain SCADA systems using platforms such as Wonderware, Ignition, or GE iFIX.
• Program and configure PLCs and HMIs to interface with SCADA systems.
• Develop and maintain SQL databases for data storage and retrieval.
• Implement and maintain network protocols and cybersecurity measures to protect SCADA systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify and implement system improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SCADA systems and associated hardware.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SCADA programming and development.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA systems, PLCs, and HMIs.
• Experience with database management systems like SQL Server and Oracle.
• Understanding of network protocols and cybersecurity best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge of pipeline operations and automation procedures.
• Project management experience.
