We are currently looking for a highly skilled SCADA / PLC Design Engineer or Consultant to contribute to the design and deployment of SCADA and PLC systems within greenfield manufacturing environments, especially in the automotive sector. This role involves hands-on development work, writing technical specifications (TRS) and functional design specifications (FDS), and adhering to modern SCADA architecture standards such as ISA112 and ISA95.
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
✅ Experience in writing TRS and FDS documentation for SCADA system development.
✅ Strong background in designing and implementing SCADA systems for greenfield projects.
✅ Knowledge of ISA112 and ISA95 standards for SCADA development.
✅ Proficiency in working with major SCADA platforms, including: iFIX, Cimplicity or other equivalent SCADA systems
✅ Strong experience with PLC platforms, especially: Siemens S7-1500, Rockwel and GE Rx3i
✅ Familiarity with communication protocols such as:
Profinet
Modbus
Good-to-Have Skills and Qualifications:
🎓 Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Industrial IT, or a related technical field.
📜 Certifications in SCADA systems or PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) are a strong advantage.
🔌 Exposure to additional industrial protocols like OPC UA, Ethernet/IP.
🏭 Understanding of Industry 4.0 initiatives and digital manufacturing environments.
Comfortable working in international teams and coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders (mechanical, electrical, IT).
🌍 Willingness to travel within the Czech Republic or to nearby EU countries for commissioning or client support.
Your future role
Prepare high-quality TRS and FDS documents in line with project and industry standards.
Design, develop, configure, and test SCADA and PLC systems in greenfield automation projects.
Ensure compliance with SCADA architecture standards (ISA112/ISA95).
Collaborate with project teams to integrate SCADA systems with PLCs and other automation layers.
Support testing, commissioning, and training activities at the site or remotely.
Participate in project planning and solution architecture discussions.
