Position Overview

The Saw Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining cutting machines in a manufacturing environment. The role involves precise cutting of materials to specified dimensions and ensuring quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain saw machines to cut materials according to production specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions of cut materials and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Calculate and document cutting measurements and materials used for production records.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a saw operator or in a similar role within a general warehouse setting.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools.
• Basic math skills and the ability to calculate measurements and data accurately.
• Physical demands (ability to lift up to 50 lbs, can be with use of lifting device).
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and machinery handling preferred.
• Knowledge of metals and machining processes is an advantage.
• Ability to operate various types of machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
