As a tutor for ClassUp, you will have a flexible and consistent schedule that you set. We teach math, ELA, and SAT classes and have ClassUp provided learning plans for our teachers to use.This is the perfect opportunity for experienced educators to connect with students in an after school setting. You will meet with your students at a set time each week for 50 minute 1 on 1 lessons. As a ClassUp teacher you will build a welcoming and fun learning environment for your student as you help them grow. It is important for our teachers to be reliable role models for our students who come to class well prepared, on time, and with a passionate and kind demeanor.ClassUp SAT teachers can teach Math, Reading, or both.Responsibilities: Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students Update your availability in the ClassUp App in a timely manner Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability Submit Class Feedback after each lesson Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting Communicate with ClassUp staff Complete monthly recaps with student's parents Requirements: Completed a Bachelors Degree 3 years of SAT teaching experience or a minimum SAT score of 720 for that component Advanced level of knowledge of SAT Math or SAT Reading/Writing content Advanced level of the SAT test and corresponding test taking skills MacOs or Windows computer with a minimum CPU of 6000 Fast and reliable internet connection Access to a private and quiet location Minimum of 15 hours of availability between 3-9 PM EST and on the weekends Ability to commit to a minimum of a year at ClassUp A clean and clear background check Passion for helping students learn Currently located in the United States ClassUp Teachers are: Approachable: They are able to build rapport and make students feel comfortable in an online classroom environment.
