Job Description: * Seeking a SAS Technology Lead to join our Enterprise Analytics team. * The Enterprise Analytics Team supports analytical processes and capabilities leveraged by our business units. Job Responsibilities: * This expert will develop roadmaps and strategies leveraging SAS capabilities to address business analytic needs. * This will include such areas as overall platform design, system governance and best practices, user administration, training and change management. * The SAS Technology Lead will assess business needs and drive rapid prototyping of solutions. * The lead will manage a rapid SDLC process to operationalize new capabilities and drive self-service analytics further into the organization. * The SAS Technology Lead will oversee SAS platform administrators and solution experts within the Enterprise Analytics team who provide support to SAS users. The SAS Lead will keep current on SAS's vision, roadmap and capabilities in order to "look ahead" and plan for enhancing our analytic capability. They will support the SAS user community by providing executive briefings, capability presentations and assisting in the design of training programs for SAS users. * They will frequently manage projects and efforts with teams of employees and contractors. Minimum Required Skills * Skills Possess in depth knowledge of SAS Foundation 9.3/9.4, SAS Metadata BI Server 9.3/9.4, Platform LSF Suite and SAS Visual Analytics 6.3/6.4 * 10+ years SAS platform background in P&C and or financial services industries * 5+ years' experience with designing solutions using Enterprise Guide, Base SAS 9.2 or newer, MS Office Plugin * 5+ years' experience with designing solutions using Enterprise Miner/Text Miner * 4+ years' experience consulting and coaching organizations on use of SAS * 4+ years' experience developing analytical roadmaps * 4+ years' experience leading SAS support organizations, including ownership of platform configuration, administration, and governance * Experience with infrastructure level projects such as system upgrades, platform and technology migrations. * Proven ability to quickly assess a business need and execute on proof of concept ideas * Proven experience in leading SAS analytic roadmap design efforts * Possess in depth experience with SAS Enterprise Guide application V4.3 or greater, SAS Management Console and SAS Web Report Studio * Ability to analyze SAS processes and jobs and develop strategies to automate and or integrate with operational systems * Possess solid understanding of property and casualty insurance analytic needs, with exposure to such topics as fraud analytics, reserving, price modeling, etc. * Strong written and verbal presentation skills and great interpersonal communication skills. Will be comfortable mentoring users in a group or individual setting Preferred skills * Degree in statistical analysis or related field * Property and Casualty analytics experience * A background in Property and Casualty insurance is a plus.
