As a SAP UI5 and BTP Developer within our Managed Services team at NCS Australia, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the continuous operation, improvement, and evolution of our clients' SAP BTP-based applications with a strong focus on the user interface. This multifaceted role encompasses the full lifecycle of application management, from actively participating in the development of new features and functionalities using SAP UI5, React, and Node.js, to providing critical support for existing applications, and strategically implementing enhancements to optimise performance and user experience.

You will be instrumental in troubleshooting and resolving application incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing robust solutions to maintain system stability. A key aspect of the role involves collaborating closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their evolving needs and translate them into tangible improvements and efficient solutions within the SAP BTP environment. Furthermore, your expertise in modern web technologies like React and Node.js will be leveraged to extend the capabilities of SAP UI5 applications and build performant backend services, ensuring our clients benefit from innovative and efficient solutions. • SAP UI5 Development: Deep understanding of SAP UI5 framework, including UI controls, data binding, routing, and component-based development.
• React Development: Strong proficiency in building user interfaces with React, including component lifecycle, state management (e.g., Redux, Context API), and hooks.
• Node.js Development: Experience in developing backend services and APIs using Node.js and related frameworks (e.g., Express).
• SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP): Solid understanding of SAP BTP services relevant to application development, deployment, and integration (e.g., Cloud Foundry, Kyma).
• Integration Technologies: Experience with integrating SAP UI5 applications with SAP backend systems and external services, potentially using RESTful APIs, OData, or other integration methods.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Excellent ability to diagnose and resolve issues in SAP UI5, React, Node.js, and BTP environments.
• Performance Optimisation: Skills in identifying and implementing performance improvements in both frontend and backend components.
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git and related version control workflows.
• Testing: Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing frameworks for UI5, React, and Node.js applications.
• Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex issues and develop effective solutions.
• Time Management & Prioritisation: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively within a managed services context.
