Position Overview
Our team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Training Instructional Design Senior Consultant to join our growing learning and development consulting team. You will play a pivotal role in designing and developing cutting-edge, Instructor-Led Training, self-paced eLearning courses and system training simulations using rapid training development tools (SAP Enable Now). Your expertise will be crucial in creating highly effective learning products that drive user adoption and proficiency in enterprise systems.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of a Senior Training Lead, the Systems Training Instructional Design Senior Consultant is responsible for the following:
Lead a team of training developers, providing guidance, oversight, and ensuring project deliverables to meet deadlines and quality standards
Develop a comprehensive range of training materials related to enterprise systems and processes, including e-learning modules, training presentations, system simulations, instructor-led training materials, and quick reference guides
Leverage industry-leading tools (e.g., SEN, WalkMe, Articulate Storyline) to create innovative and effective training materials in a fast-paced environment
Conduct learning needs assessments and analyze performance gaps to inform training strategies
Collaborate closely with clients and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand specific training needs and develop tailored, user-centric solutions
Develop and maintain a consistent design approach across all training materials
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and implement continuous improvement strategies
Manage multiple project assignments simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and ensuring efficient project execution aligned with schedules and budgets
Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in instructional design and adult learning theories
Required Skillsets
This position is fully remote, but some travel may be required
Must be a U.S. citizen physically located in the U.S.
Availability to work primarily on Eastern Standard Time (EST), as well as across multiple time zones on a flex schedule is required
Rapid Training Development Tools: Proven expertise with rapid training development tools, with strong preference for SAP Enable Now experience
Instructional Design:
Minimum of four to five (4-5) years of instructional design experience, specifically in enterprise systems and applications training within a corporate or consulting environment
Demonstrated proficiency in instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and eLearning best practices
Consulting and Client Experience: Minimum of two to three (2-3) years in a client facing internal or external consulting role for Instructional Design
Business Process: Strong understanding of fundamental business processes within modern enterprises, including Finance, Operations, Logistics, and Human Resources
Project Management: Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Team Collaboration and Quality: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Subject Matter Experts to produce high-quality learning deliverables aligned with client expectations and learning needs
English Grammar: Exceptional English language skills, including a deep understanding of grammar in both writing and speaking
Data Analysis & Learning Assessment: Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools to measure and report on training effectiveness
Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration: Superior collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Accessibility: Familiarity with accessibility standards and creating inclusive learning experiences
Adaptability and flexibility: Demonstrated ability to recognize different learning styles and adjusting teaching methods to suit individual needs
Education
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related technical discipline; master's degree preferred
Certifications in relevant eLearning tools, specifically SAP Enable Now
