Lead a Major S/4HANA Transformation in Oil & Gas – SAP Program Manager Opportunity

A leading client in the energy industry is seeking an experienced SAP Program Manager to spearhead a multi-phase implementation of SAP S/4HANA across its global operations.

About the Role

This high-impact position involves leading a full-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation program spanning business-critical functions. You will oversee a phased rollout that integrates S/4HANA with both enterprise systems and operational technologies—ensuring seamless execution, stakeholder alignment, and tangible business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP S/4HANA across enterprise and operational domains
• Manage integration between field-level systems and SAP using middleware (e.g., Mulesoft, Tibco)

Oversee a structured, two-phase deployment:

• Phase 1 – Core modules: Finance, Procurement, Asset/Plant Maintenance
• Phase 2 – Production, Sales, and Quality Management (QM)

• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align transformation efforts with organizational goals
• Monitor delivery timelines, budget adherence, and resource planning
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks across the program lifecycle
• Drive change management and training initiatives to ensure successful adoption of S/4HANA
• Deliver regular updates and insights to executive leadership
• Uphold program governance and ensure adherence to project management best practices

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformations, ideally within oil & gas or heavy industry
• Strong technical understanding of SAP and integration with field/plant operations
• Expertise in middleware platforms such as Mulesoft or Tibco
• Deep familiarity with key S/4HANA modules: Finance, Procurement, Maintenance, Production, Sales, and QM
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities
• Ability to translate complex IT challenges into business outcomes
• Proven ability to manage multi-stream, high-visibility programs in matrixed organizations
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience
• U.S.-based (Houston preferred); hybrid model with 1 week per month in-office expected
