We are seeking a seasoned SAP S/4 Data Migration Lead to manage and execute the end-to-end data migration process from legacy SAP systems to SAP S/4HANA. This leadership role will ensure cross-functional alignment across all major workstreams (F2S, P2P, R2R, O2C), collaborating with L’Oréal’s Global Team and leveraging the Global Data Migration Playbook. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and hands-on experience with Syniti tools and SAP S/4HANA data structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning & Oversight
• Develop and lead the execution of a comprehensive data migration strategy aligned with the Global Data Migration Playbook.
• Provide an integrated view of cross-functional workstreams to ensure a cohesive migration approach.
• Team Leadership & Coordination
• Lead and manage a team of data migration specialists, ensuring task alignment and disciplined delivery.
• Conduct weekly workplan validations to ensure accurate status reporting and resource management.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
• Partner with business stakeholders, IT, Application PMs, the Global Data Team, and external partners (e.g., Syniti) to define data requirements, governance, and mapping rules.
• Technical Execution
• Design and oversee the development of ETL tools and scripts for extracting, transforming, and loading data into SAP S/4HANA.
• Utilize SAP Data Services, Power BI / Looker, APIs, and other ETL tools.
• Data Quality & Governance
• Lead data profiling, cleansing, validation, and governance efforts to ensure integrity and readiness.
• Establish rules of engagement and implement robust data governance processes.
• Monitoring & Reporting
• Define KPIs for migration progress and provide regular reports, including issue tracking, resolutions, and escalations.
• Testing & Hypercare
• Coordinate migration testing and validation with business owners and the Global Team.
• Support defect management and root cause resolution during testing and hypercare phases.
• Process Improvement & Documentation
• Contribute to enhancements of the Global Data Migration Playbook and associated processes.
• Ensure all meetings (virtual/in-person) follow structured formats with agendas, documented minutes, action items, and decision logs.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in SAP data migration, including leadership roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Syniti tools, SAP BODS, MDG, and other related migration solutions.
• Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data architecture and migration methodologies.
• Experience with TIBCO EBX (MDM) is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English required; French proficiency is a plus.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Clark, NJ at least 3 days per week; flexibility to travel internationally.
