SAP MM (Procurement) Functional Consultant – Permanent – Melbourne

Our client, a leading SAP consulting firm, is expanding its team and looking for a skilled SAP MM Functional Consultant to join them in a permanent, Melbourne-based role. This is an exciting opportunity to work on end-to-end SAP S/4HANA projects, with a particular focus on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations.

The Role

As an SAP MM Functional Consultant, you will play a key role in full-cycle SAP projects, from requirements gathering through to design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. This role requires both functional expertise and a consultative mindset, as you will be working closely with clients to optimise their SAP MM processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading SAP MM implementations from blueprint to go-live
• Configuring and optimising SAP MM processes to align with business requirements
• Engaging directly with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
• Working closely with cross-functional teams including finance, logistics, and procurement teams
• Supporting SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations (preferred)
• Providing training and documentation to end users and key stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and advising on best practices

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Proven experience as an SAP MM Functional Consultant with full project lifecycle experience
• Hands-on configuration experience in SAP MM, including procurement, inventory management, and invoice verification
• Strong SAP S/4HANA experience – ideally in Public Cloud
• A consultative mindset and the ability to translate business needs into SAP solutions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Experience in SAP Activate methodology or other Agile approaches (preferred)
• Previous consulting experience and exposure to multiple industries (preferred)
