Lead Solution Architect – SAP Technologies

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead Solution Architect – SAP Technologies with 15+ years of expertise to drive solution design for prospective clients and provide technical leadership in SAP-driven transformation projects. This role requires pre-sales solutioning combined with hands-on delivery support, ensuring SAP solutions are scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Pre-Sales Support
• Engage with clients to understand business challenges and define SAP-based solutions that align with their strategic goals.
• Lead SAP solution architecture across SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud, SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), and legacy SAP systems.
• Define high-level solution blueprints, roadmaps, and implementation strategies for large-scale SAP transformations.
• Support RFP responses, solution pricing, business case development, and cost-benefit analysis.
• Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) demonstrations, workshops, and technical presentations for prospective clients.
• Collaborate with sales, business development, and SAP partners to drive SAP solution adoption.
• Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
• Act as a trusted advisor for CIOs, IT leaders, and business stakeholders in SAP digital transformation journeys.
• Provide technical and strategic guidance on SAP roadmap planning, system integration, and cloud migration strategies.
• Ensure solutions align with SAP best practices, industry regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Engage with client IT and business teams to define integration strategies between SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Delivery Support & Governance
• Support SAP project delivery teams in technical design, system architecture, and troubleshooting critical challenges.
• Ensure SAP solutions are scalable, secure, high-performing, and aligned with enterprise IT standards.
• Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and solution validation during implementation.
• Establish governance frameworks, coding standards, and architectural best practices for SAP projects.
• Guide teams on SAP cloud migrations, S/4HANA conversions, and system optimizations.
• Technology Leadership & Innovation
• Stay updated on SAP’s latest innovations, including SAP BTP, AI, machine learning, RPA, and cloud-native SAP solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend SAP tools, platforms, and third-party solutions to enhance client operations.
• Promote adoption of SAP Fiori UX, AI-driven analytics, and intelligent automation in SAP landscapes.
• Drive automation, DevOps for SAP, and cloud-native approaches to improve efficiency.
• Mentor technical teams and develop SAP architecture competency within the organization.
  
  

Key Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of experience in SAP solution architecture, implementation, and technical leadership.
• Expertise in SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Fiori/UI5, SAP Integration Suite, and SAP Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Basis, ABAP, HANA database, and system performance optimization.
• Experience in SAP migrations, system integration (SAP & non-SAP), and multi-cloud SAP deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of SAP security, compliance, and governance best practices.
• Experience in SAP pre-sales, RFP responses, and solution pricing.
• Hands-on experience in DevOps for SAP, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for SAP environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex SAP performance and integration issues.
• Knowledge of SAP industry solutions (manufacturing, retail, finance, etc.) is a plus.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• SAP Certified Solution Architect – S/4HANA or SAP BTP.
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) with experience in SAP on cloud.
• Experience in IT consulting, pre-sales, or technology advisory roles.
