The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and driving critical topics related to Incident Management, Problem Management, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Backup & Restore from database point of view.
Involves installation, upgrades, planning, setup, implementation, performance tuning & optimization, security management, and high availability strategy implementation.
The candidate will also be expected to contribute to automation, scripting, and documentation of day-to-day operations.
Candidate to be ready with minimal onboarding experience. Max 4 weeks process onboarding and to be ready for operations.
Your attitudes we value:
Over 9+ years of work experience as Database Administrator in Global Operations team (primarily on SAP HANA Database Platforms)
ASE/DB2 - additional experience is welcome.
Good Linux Knowledge.
Experience in working independently in large scale production environments.
Exposure to the automation tools /scripting or processes.
DB Concept on Security, Backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, System Copies, high availability, and disaster recovery strategy, export-import, replication is must.
Organize / Structure day2day documentation.
Cloud knowledge (e.g. experience of working in Public Cloud Domains like Microsoft Azure, AWS and GCP) is desirable but not essential.
Certification of Database Platforms with exposure to Project Management tasks including PMP and ITIL certification.
