Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced SAP HANA Cloud / HANA SQL Architect with 10 to 13 years of expertise in HANA data modeling, advanced SQL development, and end-to-end delivery of solutions on the SAP HANA Cloud platform. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of enterprise-grade Calculation Views and optimized HANA models, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance analytical solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead the architecture, design, and development of HANA data models and Calculation Views (Graphical and SQL-scripted) on SAP HANA Cloud. Develop complex SQLScript procedures, table functions, and views to meet business requirements. Define and implement data modeling best practices including reusable views, modularization, and performance optimization. Work with business and analytics teams to gather requirements and translate them into robust HANA models. Oversee end-to-end data integration between SAP HANA Cloud and various SAP/non-SAP data sources (SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, 3rd party databases). Perform query tuning, memory optimization, and performance troubleshooting for Calculation Views and SQL procedures. Design and implement data security models, including analytic privileges and object-level security. Collaborate with BI teams for seamless integration with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other reporting tools. Provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and enforce SAP HANA modeling standards. Stay up to date with SAP HANA Cloud innovations, new tools, and industry best practices. Work in Agile/Scrum delivery models and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Required Skills: 10 to 13 years of experience in SAP HANA development with strong expertise in HANA Cloud. Expert-level knowledge in HANA SQLScript, Calculation Views, and advanced HANA modeling techniques. Deep understanding of SAP HANA Cloud architecture, data federation, and data virtualization. Proven experience with performance tuning and query optimization in SAP HANA. Strong experience in SAP HANA security and roles management. Hands-on experience with SAP SDI/SDA/SLT for data provisioning and integration. Excellent understanding of OLAP/OLTP systems, star schema, and data warehousing principles. Preferred Skills: Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and XS Advanced (XSA). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automation frameworks. Experience integrating with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and building end-to-end analytical solutions. SAP certifications in HANA Cloud, HANA Modeling, or BTP are highly desirable. Soft Skills: Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and guide project deliverables.
