Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced SAP Functional Tester to join our team at the Band 7 level. The role will involve the testing of SAP applications and modules to ensure that the system meets business requirements and performs effectively. As an SAP Functional Tester, you will collaborate with functional and technical teams to validate, execute, and support the testing processes across SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Preparation:

Work with functional teams to understand the business processes and gather test requirements.

Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for SAP modules, ensuring that all business processes are covered.

Create test scenarios based on business requirements, system design documents, and user stories.

Coordinate with project teams to ensure all functional areas are included in the testing process.

Functional Testing Execution:

Execute functional testing of SAP applications (e.g., SAP FI/CO, etc.) to ensure the system meets the business requirements.

Validate end-to-end business processes, integration points, data migration, and user interfaces.

Conduct system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing to ensure consistent performance.

Document and track test execution results, including defects and deviations from expected results.

Defect Management:

Identify, log, and manage defects in the system during testing, collaborating with technical teams to ensure proper resolution.

Perform defect retesting after issue resolution and track progress to ensure timely closure of defects.

Provide timely feedback to the project team on test progress and any blockers in the testing cycle.

Collaboration with Teams:

Collaborate with functional consultants, developers, and business users to ensure all business requirements are captured and tested effectively.

Liaise with SAP functional and technical teams to resolve issues identified during testing.

Assist in the development of test automation scripts where applicable, working closely with automation teams.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed documentation for test plans, test cases, test scripts, test results, and defect logs.

Report testing progress, issues, and results to project managers and business stakeholders regularly.

Experience:

4-5 years of experience in SAP functional testing.

Hands-on experience with testing SAP applications (e.g., SAP FI/CO, MM, SD, etc.).

Strong understanding of SAP business processes and configurations.

Experience in managing multiple test cycles and conducting various types of testing, including UAT, SIT, regression, and integration testing.
