About the role


We are currently recruiting for a Principal Consultant – SAP Finance to join a major ERP transformation program within the defence sector. This is a contract role, open to candidates across Australia, aligned to East Coast hours. Key responsibilities include:


  • Leading SAP functional teams in the design, build, and integration of SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling solutions
  • Conducting FIT-GAP analysis and facilitating workshops with business and process architects
  • Customising SAP S/4HANA Finance & Controlling modules and understanding core data structures and flows
  • Resolving defects and issues through strong problem-solving and client engagement
  • Providing emergency support and minor enhancements as needed
  • Advising power users and stakeholders with subject matter expertise
  • Contributing to both new and existing implementations using the latest SAP technologies


The successful candidate


To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:


  • Australian citizenship and AGSVA baseline security clearance (mandatory)
  • Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling, including at least 3 full end-to-end project lifecycles
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Finance & Controlling and general familiarity with other SAP modules
  • Proven ability to lead workshops, perform FIT-GAP analysis, and deliver customised solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to present options clearly to clients
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Passionate, diligent, and proactive with a collaborative mindset
  • Ambitious with leadership potential and a drive to build strong client relationships
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and expand your SAP network
