ROLE: SAP Finance Consultant RB 4 and RB 5

Role Description

The Finance Consultant RB 4 and RB 5 is an important role related to implementation of process and solutions related to diagnosis, analysis and transformation of the Finance functions in a project.

The following are the Key Responsibilities

  • With regards to Customer Projects
  • Assists clients in the selection, implementation and support of SAP S4 HANA Finance and Financial Products.
  • Architecting, designing and helping build successful implementations of SAP Finance for the Customer.
  • Lead projects and or lead to implement new functionalities.
  • Analyze existing functionalities in the client system and propose improvement thereby translating them into effective solutions and business opportunities.
  • Analyze present landscape for best fit solution and strategy to the new Version.
  • Supervise and mentor project subordinates and manage client engagements.
  • Use of SAP Best Practices.

With regards to Bristlecone Practice

  • Liaising with Pre Sales Team to help grow the Business around Finance in line with Organizational Strategy and or Practices Goals.
  • Ability to devise and or lead Go To Market strategies for SAP Finance to assist Sales and Alliance teams in expanding Bristlecones footprint globally.
  • Build Assets, Pre Configured Solutions and Accelerators to reduce the overall cost to serve.
  • Participate in Assessment, Scoping and Estimation activities for RFQs.
  • Participate in suggesting or leading Process Improvement for the Practice.
  • Understanding, analysing, explore and test new features introduced in S4HANA Finance with regards to Best Practices from SAP.
  • Submit White Papers in the area of Finance.
  • Take training initiatives and collaborating with trainees at multiple locations.
  • Build strong business relationships with potential clients.

Qualifications And Experience

  • For RB 5, Minimum 8 years of Functional experience in SAP Finance of which minimum 1 to 2 years in S4HANA Finance.
  • For RB 4, Minimum 12 years of Functional experience in SAP Finance of which minimum 2 to 3 years in S4HANA Finance.
  • In SAP ECC Controlling, Functional proficiency of any 2 out of the following, that is, Green field Implementations, Rollouts and Upgradation.
  • In SAP S4HANA Controlling, Functional proficiency of any 1 of the following, that is, Green field Implementations, Rollouts, Conversion from ECC and Upgradation to newer Versions.
  • Support and CR Development is secondary in priority.
  • Experience in SAP FSCM or Treasury Management or Fund Management would be an added advantage.

SAP CERTIFICATIONS

  • Certifications in SAP Controlling and SAP S4HANA Controlling, Financial Professional would be an added advantage.
  • Optional Certification in SAP Finance and SAP S4HANA Finance.

PROCESS KNOWLEDGE

  • Process expertise in Controlling with end to end flow documents, that is from Source Module Source Document to Finance and up to Controlling.
  • Deep and thorough process end to end knowledge in Controlling facets as below.
  • General Ledger
  • Accounts Payable
  • Account Receivable
  • Banking including Electronic Bank Statement Reconciliation
  • New Asset Accounting
  • New GL and Document Splitting, in case of ECC
  • Impacts of Universal Journal, in case of S4HANA, on Finance
  • Multiple Ledgers
  • Additional Accounting Principles
  • Finance Fiori Apps, in case of S4HANA
  • Go live and Cutover steps from Legacy to SAP ECC or SAP ECC to S4HANA

Optional PROCESS KNOWLEDGE as added advantage from basic to intermediate level

  • Fund Management
  • Financial Supply Chain Management FSCM
  • Treasury Management
  • Revenue Recognition or Revenue Accounting and Reporting
  • Central Finance
  • Financial Closing Cockpit

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

  • Configuration of all the mentioned above facets of Finance.
  • Integration with other modules and end to end flow of accounting documents.
  • Ability to lead and conduct Design workshops in front of an audience comprising of CXOs, Business and IT teams.
  • Ability to work on complex configuration scenarios.
  • Able to write Functional Specifications for medium to complex customizations design influencing all aspects of integration, end results, security and authorization.
  • End to end impact assessment and flawless solution design.
  • Thorough functionality understanding of other modules of SAP MM, SD, PP, QM along with points of integration.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal as well as written.
  • Positive attitude with flexibility and maturity to work in a challenging client environment buddy to a new joiner.
  • Mentoring and grooming subordinates.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams while endorsing leadership role.
  • Multi tasking and should be able to prioritize within multiple assignments.
