Define and maintain the overall enterprise integration architecture strategy, with a strong focus on SAP CPI as the core integration platform.
Design end-to-end integration solutions using SAP CPI, considering various integration patterns (e.g, point-to-point, publish/subscribe, orchestration, choreography).
Lead the technical design and architecture of complex integration scenarios between SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, SAP Customer Experience (CX) solutions, and various non-SAP applications.
Establish and enforce integration standards, guidelines, and best practices for the development team, ensuring consistency and maintainability of integration solutions.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the integration development team, guiding them on design choices, implementation approaches, and troubleshooting techniques.
Collaborate closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into clear and concise integration specifications.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate integration technologies and tools within the SAP ecosystem and beyond.
Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of all integration solutions developed on the SAP CPI platform.
Define and implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms for integration processes to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Participate in the development of integration flows (iFlows) within SAP CPI, providing guidance and expertise to the development team.
Oversee the deployment and management of integration content within the SAP CPI environment.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in SAP CPI and related integration technologies, including API management, event-driven architectures, and cloud integration patterns.
Contribute to the development of integration roadmaps and strategies aligned with the overall IT and business objectives.
Participate in the evaluation and selection of new integration tools and technologies.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues across various systems.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for integration architectures, designs, and processes.
Technical Skills
SAP CPI Expertise : Deep and extensive hands-on experience (5+ years) with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), including all aspects of design, development, deployment, and monitoring of integration flows (iFlows).
Integration Patterns : Strong understanding and practical application of various integration patterns (e.g, synchronous/asynchronous, request/reply, batch processing, message queuing).
Integration Protocols : Expertise in working with various integration protocols such as SOAP, REST, OData, SFTP, IDoc, RFC, and EDI.
Message Mapping and Transformation : Proficient in using SAP CPI's graphical and scripting mapping tools (e.g, XSLT, Groovy, JavaScript) for complex message transformations.
Connectivity and Adapters : Solid understanding of SAP CPI's connectivity options and experience configuring and utilizing various adapters (e.g, SOAP, REST, OData, SFTP, IDoc, SuccessFactors, Ariba).
Security in SAP CPI : Deep knowledge of security aspects within SAP CPI, including authentication, authorization, certificate management, and secure data transmission.
SAP Modules Knowledge : Strong understanding of data models and business processes within key SAP modules such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, and SAP CX.
API Management (Beneficial) : Familiarity with API management concepts and tools, ideally SAP API Management.
Event-Driven Architecture (Beneficial) : Understanding of event-driven architecture principles and experience with relevant technologies (e.g, SAP Event Mesh).
Cloud Platforms : Experience with cloud platforms (e.g, SAP BTP, AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration capabilities.
Scripting Languages : Proficiency in scripting languages such as Groovy or JavaScript for custom logic within SAP CPI.
Testing and Monitoring : Experience with testing integration scenarios and implementing monitoring solutions for SAP CPI.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of overall experience in IT, with a significant focus (5+ years) on enterprise integration using SAP technologies.
Proven experience in architecting and designing complex integration solutions.
Strong understanding of integration methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and business stakeholders.
Ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
Strong understanding of SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) principles.
Relevant SAP certifications in SAP CPI or integration technologies are highly desirable
