Overview of the Role

As a Senior ABAP Developer at HCLTech, you will play a critical role in designing and developing advanced ABAP solutions to meet diverse business requirements. This position is integral to our mission of delivering robust and efficient technology solutions that drive business operations and support organizational growth.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Design and develop ABAP reports, Dynpro screens, and enhancements tailored to business needs.
• Create and maintain Smart Forms, PDF-based print forms, and Adobe Forms for various business processes.
• Implement and manage ALE/EDI/IDOC interfaces to ensure seamless data exchange between systems.
• Integrate diverse systems using JSON/XML, REST, and SOAP interfaces to support business operations.
• Collaborate with functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ABAP programs and interfaces.
• Optimize database performance through effective use of Open SQL and other performance tuning techniques.

Skill Requirements

• Expertise in ABAP programming, including Dynpro screens, reports, and enhancements.
• Proven experience with ALE/EDI/IDOC implementation and REST/SOAP integration.
• Strong knowledge of Open SQL and database performance optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in developing Smart Forms, PDF-based print forms, and Adobe Forms.
• Solid understanding of JSON/XML data formats and web service protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ABAP development and integration.

Other Requirements (Optional)

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori development.
• Knowledge of SAP modules such as SD, MM, and FI.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
