Job Description

We are actively seeking an experienced and highly capable SAP ABAP HANA Developer for a 6-month onsite contract position based in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will bring 7 to 12 years of relevant experience in SAP ABAP development with deep knowledge of the HANA platform. This is a high-impact role for professionals looking to contribute to large-scale SAP implementations and support global delivery initiatives.

The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex business needs through ABAP-based solutions. The candidate will also serve as a technical lead, working closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, team leads, and developers to ensure successful design, development, and deployment of SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance SAP solutions using ABAP on HANA technologies, including CDS Views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), and OData services.
• Analyze and understand complex business processes, translating them into scalable and maintainable ABAP solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, estimate efforts, and manage deliverables within deadlines.
• Serve as the technical expert and mentor for a team of ABAP developers, ensuring the application of best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, solution design discussions, and technical troubleshooting.
• Take ownership of full development life cycle — from requirement gathering through development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Work across technical teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP and non-SAP systems, leveraging OData and API-based interfaces.
  
  

Required Skills And Experience

• 7–12 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, with a strong focus on ABAP on HANA.
• Expertise in CDS Views, OData services, and AMDP is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques and best practices for HANA-based development.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop appropriate solutions.
• Experience working in agile environments and delivering high-quality code under tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to act as a technical advisor and lead ABAP development teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively in an onsite, team-oriented, and dynamic project environment.
