Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Technical Consultant with a specialization in FI (Financial Accounting) for a 6-month onsite contract opportunity available across multiple locations—Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai. This role is ideal for seasoned ABAP developers who have significant hands-on experience working with SAP FI objects and a strong understanding of the underlying financial business processes.

This position demands a focused individual who has worked exclusively on FI-related ABAP developments and can support technical solutions aligned with complex business requirements in finance modules. The role will involve close collaboration with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and project managers to ensure that SAP technical developments support finance-driven operations and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance SAP ABAP objects specific to the FI (Financial Accounting) module, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW).
• Collaborate with SAP functional consultants to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Work on core FI areas such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting (AA).
• Analyze existing customizations and identify opportunities to optimize code performance and maintainability.
• Handle day-to-day technical tasks related to FI module enhancements, bug fixes, and change requests.
• Perform end-to-end unit testing, assist in integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Engage in issue resolution and production support for finance-related technical issues.
• Adhere to SAP development standards and ensure compliance with organizational coding guidelines and quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams during project planning and implementation phases.
• Provide technical documentation for all developed solutions.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 7 to 12 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP, with a focus on FI-related technical developments.
• Proven track record of working exclusively on FI module objects in multiple project environments.
• Strong technical understanding of SAP FI business processes.
• Experience with classic and modern ABAP techniques, including modularization, enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, and SmartForms/Adobe Forms.
• Good knowledge of financial data structures and integration points with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in an SAP financial environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, capable of working closely with finance teams and functional consultants.
