JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of custom eCommerce solutions within the Salesforce platform using Apex, Java, and related technologies.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and eCommerce stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and integrate scalable and efficient systems leveraging Salesforce technologies such as Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
• Integrate third-party eCommerce applications and external systems with Salesforce using RESTful APIs and SOAP web services to ensure seamless data flow.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with the eCommerce platform, ensuring optimal system performance and user satisfaction.
• Lead the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and documentation within the eCommerce team.
• Proactively monitor system performance and implement enhancements to improve platform stability, scalability, and security.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership within the team.
• Stay current with emerging trends in Salesforce, Java development, and eCommerce technology to introduce innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in Salesforce development, with significant expertise in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning.
• Extensive experience with Java and Java-based frameworks, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, eCommerce platforms, and integrating third-party services.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs and SOAP web services for system integration.
• Proven experience in leading the development and delivery of scalable Salesforce applications in a high-demand, production environment.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce best practices for development, testing, and deployment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Salesforce Developer Certification (Platform Developer I or II).
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and the Salesforce Lightning framework.
• Previous experience working in an eCommerce environment or a similar fast-paced, customer-driven industry.
