Raise is currently hiring two (2) SalesForce Administrators on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our client, is one of Canada's public research Universities is a global centre for teaching, learning and research. Consistently ranked among the top public Universities in the world.

Note: The primary pay rate is based on the rate for an incorporated contractor who owns their own business. However, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in a T4 arrangement, where applicable.

Description

The Salesforce Administrator will play a key role in the core CRM implementation project and broader enterprise CRM initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically hands-on individual with a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform to contribute to the delivery of scalable and sustainable solutions in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the configuration and enhancement of Salesforce features, translating functional requirements into technical solutions, and collaborating with a diverse team to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and customize the Salesforce platform, including the creation and modification of objects, fields, page layouts, workflows, validation rules, approval processes, reports, and dashboards.
  • Translate functional requirements gathered by business analysts into effective and efficient Salesforce configurations using standard platform tools and adhering to best practices.
  • Actively participate in sprint planning sessions, contribute to solution design reviews, and provide technical insights for configuration-related tasks.
  • Support all phases of the project lifecycle, including system testing, deployment activities, and post-go-live support to ensure smooth transitions and ongoing system stability.
  • Collaborate effectively with business analysts, developers, quality assurance testers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment across project deliverables.
  • Uphold change management protocols, maintain data integrity through proper configuration and validation, and ensure comprehensive documentation of all configurations and processes.
  • Proactively identify and implement solutions to optimize and improve the Salesforce platform based on evolving business needs and best practices.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training materials and end-user support as needed.
  • Stay current with the latest Salesforce releases, features, and best practices to leverage new functionalities and enhance the platform.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator, with a proven track record of configuring and maintaining Salesforce environments in a project-driven setting.
  • Deep and demonstrable understanding of the Salesforce platform and its core functionalities, including Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
  • Strong ability to translate functional requirements into practical and efficient Salesforce configurations using declarative tools (point-and-click).
  • Experience with creating and managing Salesforce workflows, validation rules, approval processes, reports, and dashboards.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce data models, data management best practices, and data integrity principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and interact with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment while adhering to project timelines.
  • Commitment to maintaining comprehensive documentation of all Salesforce configurations and processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Required Certifications:
    • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • Nice-to-Haves:
    • Experience with Salesforce Education Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or multi-cloud implementations.
    • Prior experience supporting complex Salesforce delivery projects, particularly within higher education or the public sector.
    • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator certification.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
    • Basic understanding of Salesforce development concepts (e.g., Apex, Lightning Web Components).
