Position Title: Sales Support Engineer

Employment Type: Full-Time (Work from Home)

Role Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Pre Sales Engineer with a background in Electrical Engineering. This role involves managing the end-to-end process of tender and quotation preparation, including reviewing customer RFQs, obtaining quotes from suppliers, carrying out technical and commercial comparisons, negotiating pricing with suppliers, preparing quotes and tender packages, generating sales leads, and maintaining the CRM database.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Tender and RFQ Management

  • Review tenders and customer RFQs to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Study customer-provided specifications and suggest cost-effective alternatives matching application requirements.

2. Quotation and Submission Preparation

  • Prepare competitive quotations, including costing sheets and tender submission documents.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all submissions.

3. Supplier Negotiation and Coordination

  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers to ensure competitive cost structures.
  • Respond to supplier emails and calls after hours when required.

4. Cost Analysis and Database Management

  • Perform commercial and technical comparisons to evaluate options.
  • Maintain and update the pricing database regularly.
  • Follow up on cost data updates to ensure accurate records.
  • Generate sales leads and maintain the CRM database.

5. Customer Support

  • Provide after-hours support for customer calls and inquiries, ensuring timely responses to their needs.

6. Collaboration and Meetings

  • Participate in monthly or bi-monthly in-office collaboration meetings with colleagues.


Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is a must.

Experience:

  • 5–7 years of experience in tender/quote preparation within the electrical cable or accessories industry.
  • Experience in the cable industry is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including data analysis, formulas, and pivot tables).
  • Familiarity with technical and commercial aspects of tender processes.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Work Conditions:

  • Location: Remote (Work from Home).
  • Availability: Must be available to provide after-hours support for customers and suppliers.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
