Job Title: Sales Project Manager

Job Description

Collaborate with Engineering and Plant Managers to establish labor rates and manning for quoting purposes. Communicate with plant personnel to provide customer’s time schedules, material concerns, visits, production runs, trials, and equipment availability information. Serve as a liaison between external customers, sales, and management. Determine essential priorities of customer requests and projects, and implement the needs of the customer. Obtain specifications on raw materials from customers and work with Purchasing and other plant personnel in the procurement of such materials. Facilitate the quoting function, including maintenance of a historical database of customers, products, and pricing. Maintain and promote strong work ethics and uphold all company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Establish labor rates and manning for quoting purposes in collaboration with Engineering and Plant Managers.
  • Communicate effectively with plant personnel regarding customer schedules, material concerns, and equipment availability.
  • Act as a liaison between external customers, sales, and management.
  • Prioritize and implement customer requests and projects.
  • Obtain raw material specifications and coordinate with Purchasing for procurement.
  • Facilitate quoting functions and maintain a historical database of customers, products, and pricing.
  • Uphold strong work ethics and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in sales, project management, and manufacturing.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (3-5 years).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business information, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strong mathematical skills including probability, statistical inference, and practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in sales support and contract manufacturing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Google Suite, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Excellent customer relationship management experience.
  • Ability to solve complex problems effectively to meet and/or exceed customer expectations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
