Job Description

We are seeking five dynamic and proactive Sales & Marketing Interns to join the Akoni Technologies team. This role is heavily focused on sales and lead generation, playing a key part in driving new business opportunities and supporting the wider sales and marketing strategy. Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for making outbound sales calls, supporting with presenting to potential clients, assisting with proposals and contracts, and maintaining customer databases. In addition to sales, you will support the marketing team with campaign execution, content creation, and market research to help generate leads and increase brand visibility. Full sales training will be provided, so while previous experience is beneficial, a willingness to learn and a proactive attitude are essential.


Note* Visa sponsorship(Skilled Worker Visa) may be offered upon successful completion of the internship.


About the Internship:


We are offering 5 internship positions for driven, creative, and proactive individuals looking to gain practical experience in sales and marketing within a dynamic tech environment.

  • 2 interns will be dedicated to supporting our new Dubai office from the UK, focusing on marketing and lead generation for new products and services.
  • 3 interns will focus on the UK market, assisting with sales outreach, lead generation, and marketing strategy execution.


This role is ideal for candidates looking to build foundational skills in sales, marketing, and client engagement, with strong exposure to real-world business development strategies.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales & Lead Generation

  • Identify new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and networking events.
  • Support the sales team by scheduling meetings, preparing proposals, presentations, and assisting with contracts and quotations.
  • Confidently present to potential clients and assist with closing deals under supervision.
  • Maintain and update CRM databases to reflect all sales activities, follow-ups, and performance metrics.
  • Build and nurture client relationships to support long-term business growth.
  • Participate in candidate sourcing via LinkedIn and other platforms to support our tech recruitment initiatives.


Marketing & Content Creation

  • Support the execution of marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social channels.
  • Assist in writing content for social media, blog posts, and marketing collateral.
  • Feature in content creation including social videos, TikToks, and brand promotion media.
  • Help coordinate logistics for marketing events, trade shows, and internal campaigns.
  • Collaborate with external partners and suppliers for branded material, events, and campaigns.
  • Analyse marketing data and report on campaign performance as required.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Recently completed a degree/diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related fields.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn and try new things.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable with public-facing tasks such as client calls, video content, and presentations.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.

Working Structure:

During your probationary period, you will be required to work from the office five days a week for onboarding and training. After this period, interns in the UK may be eligible to work remotely on Fridays, at the manager’s discretion.
