4LEAF is seeking a qualified engineer and/or construction managers for Marketing / Sales Engineer position in the SF/Pleasanton region.
The ideal candidate for each position will have an engineering and/or civil infrastructure background, have good written and verbal communication skills, and have a passion for marketing and establishing relationships with existing and new clients in the civil infrastructure and construction industry. The person will develop new or use existing relationships to identify and help recruit qualified project staff and identify potential marketing opportunities in the civil infrastructure industry. The person will attend and participate in local, regional, and national professional associations, conferences, and trade shows to expand 4LEAF’s industry recognition and market share. At a minimum, the successful candidate will be resourceful, have excellent interpersonal skills, be high-energy, and self-motivated.
Responsibilities
The following represents the normal responsibilities associated with the position:
- Attend and represent 4LEAF at various local and national professional associations, conferences, and trade shows including, but not limited to, the American Public Works Association (APWA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), and American Water Works Association (AWWA).
- Actively attend and serve on various committees for local, regional, state, and/or national chapters of APWA, ASCE, CMAA, and AWWA.
- Identify and help recruit Construction Manager, Engineering, and Civil Infrastructure Inspector candidates for existing and future projects.
- Develop, maintain, and/or expand relationships with existing and prospective civil infrastructure clients.
- Work with 4LEAF’s Executive and proposal team to strategize and prepare written proposals, cost estimates, presentations, and various marketing materials for client solicitations [e.g., request for proposals (RFPs) and statement of qualifications (SOQ)].
- Help prepare for and participate as a member of 4LEAF’s interview team for potential projects.
- Perform as-needed Construction Management (CM), Project Management, and/or Office Engineer tasks on existing and new civil infrastructure projects until permanent staff are identified and assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience performing marketing, sales, or technical tasks on civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and time-management skills.
- Must work independently as well as a team environment.
- Must be proactive and organized multitasker.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred. Registration as a Professional Engineer or a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is desired but not required.
- Must be willing to travel.
Compensation and Benefits
4LEAF anticipates the salary range for this position will be between $150,000 and $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience and professional certifications.
