Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee sea freight operations with shipping lines, co-loaders, and trucking companies, ensuring alignment with approved customer quotations.
  • Maintain and grow the sea freight customer portfolio by preparing quotes and engaging with overseas agents and partners daily.
  • Manage operational flow based on confirmed bookings and customer requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with shipping lines, trucking companies, and overseas agencies to ensure smooth sea freight processes.
  • Provide customers with timely and accurate updates regarding the status of their sea shipments.
  • Build strong working relationships with carriers, customers, and internal departments to enhance service quality.
  • Ensure accurate data entry in relevant systems, including container load details and booking notifications (e.g., Pre-Alerts).
  • Monitor customs procedures for import/export sea shipments, ensuring legal compliance and timely processing.
  • Conduct profit-loss analyses, ensure correct invoicing, and manage invoice approvals from overseas partners in cooperation with finance.
  • Prepare regular operational and financial reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Ensure full compliance with Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
  • Support TLS’s quality goals and contribute to acquiring or maintaining relevant sea freight certifications, such as NVOCC.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with importers, exporters, and 3PL clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across ocean, air, domestic freight, transportation and warehouse.
  • Prepare and present pricing proposals and service offerings tailored to customer needs.
  • Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and client retention.
  • Attend trade shows, customer visits, and sales meetings as needed.
  • Maintain CRM records and provide regular sales forecasts and activity reports.


Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain industries.
  • Working knowledge of Incoterms, freight pricing, and industry regulations (FMC, TSA, etc.).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Located in or willing to relocate to the NJ area.


Preferred:


  • Existing customer portfolio or contacts in the US.
  • Experience working with NVOCCs or 3PL providers
