Shangri-La Tokyo is seeking a result oriented and presentable
Sales Manager, Global Sales ! You r epresent Shangri-La Group to Corporate companies and TMCs located in Japan. Cultivate strong relationships to ensure business revenue goals are achieved or exceeded and drive brand loyalty to maximise Corporate Transient and Group business to our hotels and resorts worldwide from this region.

Core Competencies
- A person whose native language is Japanese or who holds qualifications to work in Japan and can read and write in Japanese without any difficulty in business interactions with Japanese clients.
- In accordance with the strategic action plans, actively sell and promote all Shangri-La Group properties to Corporate accounts, Consortia and other assigned portfolio in Japan.
- Actively supports and executes group wide sales initiatives eg. Tactical Promotions, Sales Missions, Business Development Weeks, Business Closing Weeks etc.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with airlines, DMCs, NTOs etc within the region and actively seek opportunities for business promotions and Familiarization trips
- Active participation as a member of the Shangri-La Corporate Sales Team as well as p articipate as a team player with GSO Tokyo colleagues.
- Maintain the highest standard of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards clients and colleagues.
- Possesses various Office software skills as well as comprehensive knowledge of Delphi.fdc and SLIM tools.
- Assist with yearly goal setting reports / budget as required
Requirements
- Native Japanese with English business level or those who holds qualifications to work in Japan and can read and write in Japanese without any difficulty in business interactions with Japanese clients.Only applicants with Japanese nationality or a valid work visa for Japan are eligible to apply. - 3 years’ experience in sales in Japan and 1 years’ experience in Global Sales
- PC Skills (MS-Word, Excel, PowerPont, Delphi, Opera and Nexus Usage)
- Possesses good interpersonal skills
- Resourceful and independent but Good team player
- Possesses tenacity
