Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the sales process, and the ability to analyze market trends to develop effective strategies.
This role requires a proactive approach to business development, a focus on customer satisfaction, and a commitment to continuous improvement across our service area from Bakersfield to Sacramento.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to maximize performance and growth.
- Foster and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and negotiation.
- Oversee outside sales activities, ensuring alignment with company priorities and customer needs.
- Utilize Salesforce or similar CRM tools to track performance, manage leads, and generate reports.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to design promotional campaigns that drive customer engagement.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team on product knowledge and best practices.
- Represent the company at industry events, customer meetings, and trade shows, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in food distribution, foodservice, or a similar industry.
- Proven success in a sales management or leadership role.
- Strong business development background with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
- Proficient with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategy.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of closing deals.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout our service area.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $75,000 – $96,838 annually (depending on experience)
