Sales Manager wanted for immediate employment by Hysen Data Systems Ltd
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy: Experience of defining and implementing effective IT sales strategies, review and recommend changes to processes, procedures and systems to improve efficiency of department and overall company performance. Ensure a common approach (standardisation) is adopted
Key responsibility will be to drive the pipeline for sales and develop new business opportunities
Programme Management: Overseeing the planning, scheduling and tracking of all sales activity, ensuring good adherence to the company’s overall strategy. Reporting to the board on sales KPI’s and deliverables.
People Management: Hold regular meetings to review performance and set/review KPI’s. Performance management and development of the sales team. Actively encourage and manage innovation where it is seen to provide benefit to the business/morale/working practices. Ensuring that exceptional work is recognised and rewarded. Promote, embrace and instil the company values.
Change Management: Proven track record of delivering change management within an organisation and of handling issues that arise from this.
Relationship Management: The role will involve direct communication with prospects clients and stakeholders at all levels, and therefore requires exceptional ability to build and manage these relationships and to communicate effectively utilising all mediums. In addition, this will involve developing and improving strong team bonds within the sales team and with other departments
Company Knowledge: Rapid assimilation and understanding of the company, our products and services and their practical applications in order to market our solutions effectively.
Qualification Required & Experience
A good degree(s) in relevant discipline
Strong network of contacts in the target market
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years management experience from a technology background
Demonstrable experience of effective team management
Ability to quickly qualify in (and out) opportunities, managing a good win rate
Demonstrable experience of implementing strategy, setting goals and priorities, and ensuring they are met
Adaptability and a positive approach to change
Demonstrable evidence of managing sales teams against their sales plans and annual objectives
Good business acumen and business knowledge (balancing priorities and costs)
Experience of financial control and budget management. Understanding of the P&L is essential
Ability to work autonomously, yet seek support when needed
Demonstrable expertise and experience of managing CRM systems and related internal systems to facilitate accurate forecasting
Experience of selling to senior officials, and companies within the financial services sector would be a distinct advantage
