Sales Executive – Electrical Systems & Data Center Solutions


Location: Onsite – Itasca, IL (Travel across North America as required)


Reports to: Executive Vice President of Sales


Position Summary

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Sales Executive to lead business development efforts across the fast-growing sectors of Data Centers (AI, Crypto) and high-capacity Server Rooms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, a customer-centric mindset, and a proven ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. This role is instrumental in identifying customer needs, responding to RFQs, and fostering long-term relationships that support sustained revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities


  • Industry-Specific Sales Strategy:
  • Apply your expertise in electrical equipment and systems to design and implement targeted sales approaches that align with the unique needs of data centers and modular infrastructure customers.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships by delivering tailored solutions that address client challenges and operational goals.
  • RFQ Management:
  • Review, interpret, and respond to RFQs with precision and timeliness, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and deadlines.
  • Technical Sales Expertise:
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of data center infrastructure, including power distribution, rack systems, and cable management. Present informed, solution-focused proposals during customer engagements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Applications Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to ensure alignment with customer expectations and market demands.
  • Sales Activity Reporting:
  • Accurately document sales progress, customer interactions, pipeline metrics, and other critical data for internal reporting and performance tracking.


Qualifications & Competencies


  • Proven success in B2B sales, ideally within the electrical equipment or systems industry.
  • Deep understanding of the sales lifecycle and key performance drivers.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Background as a professional technical salesperson or applications engineer with strong solution development capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a robust pipeline across multiple accounts.
  • Skilled in negotiation, closing deals, and customer problem-solving.
  • Strong team player with a history of collaboration across internal departments to achieve customer satisfaction.
