Experience: Extensive background in metals manufacturing, machining, sheet metal fabrication, and structural welding

Client Engagement & Sales

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, building long-term relationships.

Understand client needs and recommend tailored manufacturing solutions.

Manage an existing book of business while pursuing new leads and growth opportunities.

Represent Pen Manufacturing with professionalism, technical confidence, and integrity.

Project Estimation & Cost Analysis

Analyze blueprints, drawings, and technical specs to prepare accurate quotes.

Calculate labor, materials, tooling, outsourcing, and overhead for bids.

Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and operations to ensure feasibility and competitive pricing.

Utilize Paperless Parts or similar quoting software to streamline estimating processes.

Project Management & Execution Support

Assist in developing timelines, budgets, and schedules to align with customer expectations.

Work cross-functionally with production control and shop floor teams to ensure job requirements are met.

Monitor project progress and provide proactive communication and solutions for any obstacles.

Technology & Workflow Optimization

Leverage CRM, ERP, and project management systems (Salesmate, Asana, Fulcrum) to improve workflow and client communication.

Continuously look for process improvements to reduce turnaround time and increase quoting accuracy.

Stay current with manufacturing trends, materials, and technologies to bring innovative solutions to customers.

What We’re Looking For

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.

Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of machining, sheet metal fabrication, structural welding, and part tolerancing.

Experience: Proven success estimating and managing projects in a contract manufacturing or job shop environment.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD, ERP, CRM, and quoting tools; experience with Paperless Parts is a major plus.

Analytical Acumen: Ability to read technical drawings, assess manufacturability, and offer efficient solutions.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical conversations.

Problem-Solving: Resourceful and strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced, high-precision environments.
