Summary

ROVR Network is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in business development, experience in mapping technologies, and a passion for building strategic partnerships in the geospatial, technology, and blockchain industries. You will play a key role in expanding ROVR’s network, forging meaningful connections, and driving new business opportunities in a fast-paced, innovative environment.


Key Responsibilities

Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities

  • Research, identify, and engage with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders in the mapping, geospatial, and blockchain industries.
  • Proactively generate leads and develop strategies to expand ROVR’s business reach.
  • Up to 30% travel (domestic & international)

Build and Maintain Strategic Relationships

  • Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers, industry leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and aligning them with ROVR’s solutions.

Develop and Execute Sales Strategies

  • Collaborate with the sales team to create and implement tailored sales strategies.
  • Effectively communicate ROVR’s value proposition in geospatial data and blockchain solutions.

Represent ROVR at Industry Events & Conferences (30% Travel)

  • Attend key trade shows, conferences, and networking events to showcase ROVR’s solutions and establish industry presence.
  • Gather market insights and generate high-quality business leads.

Present Solutions and Product Demonstrations

  • Conduct product presentations, webinars, and live demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Showcase how ROVR’s technology addresses real-world challenges in mapping, environmental monitoring, and data collection.

Negotiate and Close Deals

  • Work with legal and sales teams to negotiate contracts and close deals that align with ROVR’s growth objectives.
  • Maintain a focus on long-term client satisfaction and business success.

Collaborate with Internal Teams

  • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure seamless service delivery and successful client onboarding.
  • Provide feedback to drive continuous product and business improvements.

Market Research and Industry Analysis

  • Stay informed on the latest trends in geospatial technologies, blockchain, and decentralized networks.
  • Utilize industry insights to refine business development strategies.

Achieve Sales Targets

  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to track progress and optimize strategies.


Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Geospatial Sciences, Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership management, preferably in geospatial, mapping, or blockchain industries.
  • Strong knowledge of GIS, GPS, environmental monitoring, or related mapping technologies.
  • Understanding of blockchain technology and its applications in geospatial data or decentralized networks.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, negotiate, and close deals.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% for industry events and client meetings.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with geospatial data platforms and blockchain-based mapping solutions.
  • Prior experience in startups or high-growth technology environments.
  • Established network and relationships within the geospatial or blockchain industries.
  • Familiarity with environmental monitoring technologies or IoT devices for data collection.
