Sales Engineer - U.S. Region

Location: On-Site (with travel across the U.S.)

Company: Sky Limit Systems

Overview:

We are on the lookout for a Sales Engineer to spearhead our sales initiatives throughout the Americas. This customer-facing role combines technical insight with sales strategy to grow key accounts, forge new partnerships with Aerospace clients and identify high-value opportunities in a complex, low-volume, high-variety production environment.

This position is perfect for someone who thrives on travel, loves solving real-world engineering problems, and is energized by meaningful customer interactions. You’ll work hand-in-hand with both our internal teams and external clients to develop innovative, tailored solutions that drive success for all parties.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Create and implement a strategic plan to meet and exceed sales targets, with a strong emphasis on new customer acquisition.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Airlines, MROs, OEMs, and tiered suppliers.
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable solutions by coordinating closely with our engineering team.
  • Provide expert insight into how our products function and fit into customers’ systems and platforms.
  • Lead discussions around product applications, modifications, and integration strategies.
  • Monitor and respond to trends in the aerospace market, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
  • Represent the company at aerospace trade shows, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Travel extensively within your assigned territory (expect 60%+ time on the road).

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (advanced degree a bonus).
  • 3–5 years of aerospace industry experience, ideally with both technical and customer-facing responsibilities.
  • Solid understanding of aerospace systems, components, and the sales lifecycle in this space.
  • Ability to engage in technical discussions and align customer challenges with practical, engineered solutions.
  • Established connections in the aerospace ecosystem—especially among Airlines, OEMs, and MROs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable managing time and relationships independently, especially in a travel-heavy role.
