About the Role


We are hiring for one of our global technology clients, a leader in digital transformation and enterprise technology solutions. As part of their Australia Public Sector team, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth within the Federal Government sector, primarily across Canberra and the ACT. This role focuses on expanding current engagements, building long-term client partnerships, and identifying new opportunities for technology-led service delivery. You will collaborate with high-performing global teams to craft impactful, innovative solutions that address public sector challenges.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute strategic account and regional growth plans.
  • Cultivate and manage strong relationships with senior government stakeholders, including CXOs.
  • Provide governance oversight and manage risks and escalations across key accounts.
  • Lead business development initiatives—identify, pursue, and close strategic opportunities within the Government.
  • Leverage understanding of the Federal Government procurement landscape to influence outcomes and win business.
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis, define engagement strategies, and maintain strong executive alignment.
  • Present compelling value propositions and past success stories to influence client decision-making.
  • Monitor market trends and competitors to shape go-to-market strategies.
  • Manage sales plans and pipelines in collaboration with internal leadership to ensure business targets are met.
  • Guide solution development efforts and lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate closely with Solution Architects and Delivery teams to tailor proposals and delivery models.
  • Support alliance development with relevant technology and product vendors.
  • Travel as required across the region to support client meetings and engagements.


Qualifications


  • Minimum 14+ years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in roles directly related to the Public Sector
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
  • Deep understanding of Federal Government-specific business drivers, procurement processes, and compliance standards.
  • Strong network and stakeholder relationships within the Australian Government sector.
  • Proven systems oversight and project management experience, particularly in enterprise applications, systems integration, consulting, or application maintenance/development for public sector clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in proposal development and leading client-facing proposal presentations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a track record of building client trust and delivering business results.
