The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a critical role in driving new business opportunities by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospects across the government and private sectors. This role is ideal for someone who’s excited about tech, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to build a career in sales and business development.
Responsibilities:
- Research, identify, and engage potential clients through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads to assess fit and potential.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects in the CRM (Pipedrive).
- Set meetings and demos for the Business Development and Capture teams.
- Collaborate with marketing to optimize outreach campaigns and messaging.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand client needs and challenges.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity records and prospect data.
- Follow up consistently and creatively to drive engagement and move leads through the funnel.
- Provide market feedback and insights to support go-to-market strategies.
- Participate in weekly sales syncs, trainings, and pipeline reviews.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 0–2 years of sales, business development, or marketing experience (internships welcome!).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Grit, curiosity, and a genuine interest in solving client problems.
- Comfort with CRM tools (Pipedrive experience is a plus).
- Highly organized with strong time management and follow-through.
- Tech-savvy and eager to learn about government contracting, software solutions, and talent management.
- Team player with a positive attitude and a drive to exceed goals.
