Texas Welding Supply is a family-owned business in ATX that provides various welding supplies & Industrial gas as well as med gas.

Hours: M-F, 8am-5pm, Employer paid health insurance after 90 days.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site front desk sales role located in Austin, TX. Must have knowledge of welding supplies and equipment or welding experience. The Salesperson will be responsible for engaging with customers, promoting and upselling and making recommendations on welding supplies, Miller welders, filling up cylinders and providing excellent customer service.

• Research and answer customer technical questions about gases, welding, and cutting & safety products etc.
• Fill up cylinders with gas for walk in customers. Help with cylinder swaps. roll cylinders and put on hand cart.
• Answer incoming calls, manage email orders.
• Serve retail showroom walk-in customers with professionalism and care.
• Take orders - Create, Review and correct customer invoices
• Collect past due money on accounts.
• Provide support for outside sales personnel.
• Assist with annual inventory accounting.
• Prepare customer and inter-store orders for shipping, integrating these tasks with overall shipping and receiving operations.
• Conduct courtesy pre-calls and emails to core customers to obtain weekly orders.
• Stock warehouse and retail store shelves to maintain inventory levels. Place orders.
• Coordinate with the team regarding inventory requirements.
• Keep the store and warehouse clean and organized.
• Operate a forklift

Qualifications

• Knowledge of welding supplies and equipment is a must
• Ability to lift or move items safely. For example: roll cylinders, bend down. Lift welding rods/wire that are bundled as 20 pounds and 50 pounds etc.
• Customer service-oriented mindset
• Can use a computer to create invoices and our CRM.
• Basic math skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to accurately process customer orders.
• Customer-focused mindset with a desire to go above and beyond.
• Forklift operation certification or willingness to obtain certification is required.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Basic knowledge of store merchandising and marketing.
• Spanish speaking is a plus but not required
• CDL & Hazmat is a plus but not required
